Camping: What Food to buy and how to store it?
I’m going camping with a friend of mine for 4 days and 3 nights. We’re camping in a tent, (with no electricity of course). I’ve figured everything out but the food situation. We’ll be bringing a portable grill and a cooler.
So any ideas on what foods to buy and bring?
… and also how to store it best so it doesn’t spoil.

When we going camping tomorrow I will be taking:
Hot Dogs
Stuff for Mountain pies
Smores
Ravioli
Sausage
Pop Tarts
Breakfast Bars
Lunch meat
Bread
Cookies
Chips
Canned Fruit
Canned Veggies
Chicken
Hamburgers
Eggs
For storage. Have two coolers. One for drinks and one for food. Freeze all meats before placing in cooler. For the meats you wont be using right away freeze in a freezer bag then place in another freezer bag fill with water and freeze again so it will be inside a block of ice. Place any cheeses, chocolate for smores, etc in a zip lock bag before placing it in the cooler. When loading the cooler place meats on the bottom then ice, the cheeses, eggs, and then more ice. Also make sure to bring along extra zip lock baggies for your marshmallows, chips, etc. When you open them place the remaining product in a zip lock bag so bugs don’t get into it.
