Seniors, when you get elderly like we are do you appreciate the benefits that come with age?

We are going fishing in a few weeks and someone in the group we were camping with told me that at our next camping trip that i would be able to fish for free because I am over 65 and have lived in the state of Oregon for over 67 years. I feel like I should buy a liscense.

Yes! Let’s see:

1) Failing eyesight
2) Poor hearing
3) multiple wrinkles
4) weight gain
5) incontinence
6) loss of mobility
7) loss of …..????Now what was I gonna say?
8) Loss of teeth
9) Poor sleep
10) High medical costs
11) Reduced income
12) Miseries, aches, and pains
13) Loss of family communications

Ah, yes! the joys of old age….and the one thing I have going for me is that I feel so fortunate each day to wake up on the top side of the ground so I can experience another day of the above events. Ain’t life grand? And yes I appreciate senior perks, too. Only now I hardly get out of the house to get a senior lunch discount, or to get a free fishing day (I’m now pretty much incapable of physically being able to fish.) . Still, life goes on??? Oh, by the way, I just got an offer in the mail for a discount on burial insurance!
