Hiking Trips

Hiking trip in Scotland, what should i bring/wear? This question is for outdoorsy people?
I am going to scotland this summer (June if it matters) for an eight day hiking trip from Fort William to Glascow with my Grandma and my sister. We will be spending time looking around the towns too of course, but i was wondering what i should bring clothing wise.
Thanks for your help!
Hiking in Scotland, you will need to bring warm gear, even in June.
If you are likely to hike high in the mountains you need a full winter set of clothes in your backpack while hiking. If you stay in the valleys or on the lower bit of the slopes, waterproofs and a sweater above the clothing for the day will be enough.
If you hike with a company, they are likely to include a ‘needs’ list of gear.
It may include woolly hat, gloves, warm trousers (not jeans), fleece jacket or warm wool sweater, waterproof jacket and trousers.
But also mosquito repellent, cream to put on bites so they do not itch, sun cream or even sun block.
And you will need proper hiking boots, well broken in. Waterproof leather or goretex would be the best.
Weather in Scotland is unpredictable, with rain the most likely. But I have been in Scotland in June when the sun was hot, to hot for jeans, so also bring summer clothing.
