Hiking Vancouver Winter
Posted on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Hiking

I’m looking at visiting British Columbia in late September and do some hikes, any tips?
I’m looking at hiking in British Columbia at the end of September / early October. I would like to spend a couple of nights in the back country in either the rockies or vancouver island.
It is towards the end of the season. Are the trails / huts likely to still be open or shut for winter?
Any recomendations? Top day trails? Good 3 day backcountry trips?
I’ve done a fair bit of wild camping in Scotland, so have some expertise.
Stanley Park should be your first stop. Grouse mountain and Victoria is also an amazingly beautiful place.
