When, in Palmdale, CA and I go camping without having to pay for a night?

I'm just trying to do a short hike and stay in ovenigth Palmdale.CA the mountains around.

Driving the dirt roads leading out of town, find a good wind, protected on the site and set up camp. Try the maintenance of roads south and east of Tejon Rd 106th passes through the hills and takes you into the National Forest behind Little Rock Reservoir. Do not use a fireplace to attract attention. use a portable gas barbecue table.
